Free Choice

What is it?
It’s structured unstructured time, and a great way for students to be comfortable with their peers and grow their communication skills. They are learning to be good friends, share, and take turns.

Purpose:
Free play is essential for developing social, emotional, and academic skills.

Students are learning that their own interests matter. 

Social skills can be taught in the moment.  

Children are more engaged, therefore they are learning.
